Who is He?

Who is Jesus?
Do you know him?
I am sure that you have heard of him and maybe you also know that he was crucified on a cross.

What you perhaps don't know is that we celebrate Easter to remember what he did for us. From the beginning of time the Sovereign God brought word of His Kingdom and throughout the years He has used
many ordinary people like you and me to tell His story in a perfect book called the bible. No writer could ever make up a story so detailed and in perfect sequence like the one told in this Holy book.
Have you heard the story?

The Bible tells how God send His only beloved son Christ Jesus to earth, he was a noble man without sin. His birth was unique: a King born in a manger, his earthly father was a carpenter and was conceived by a virgin and the Holy spirit.
From a young age he spoke in the synagogues and all who heard him speak were amazed by His knowledge. He was called to serve the Lord his Father and He paid the ultimate prize for our sins. By obedience he went to
John and was baptized to fulfill scripture.
Are you baptized?

Mark1:9-11 Jesus Baptism
9At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."

Why did God sent Jesus to us? This is what is written in the bible in Luke 4:18-19:

Jesus reading Isaiah’ scroll in the synagogue
(Fulfilled scripture Isaiah 61:1-2)
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.
Wow! Isn't that awesome!
