11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. - Matthew 5:11-12
Good day my Friends!
Allelujia, they are making news on Fox about the persecuted Christians in the Middle East, hopefully people realize that Asia, Africa, South America also persecutes Christians. Guess how old was the first Christian to be persecuted and guess what is his name? Jesus Christ. When he was born their was an order to kill each male baby born in Bethlehem, the reigning king was afraid of the King of the Jews that was born. After that the apostles suffered and the followers and through the centuries that has not changed. many have been killed and their crime is to proclaim and to confess the Gospel. In Muslim countries you may worship Christ and the Trinity but you are prohibited to witness to other non Christians about your faith.Countries like Egypt are like that, people can go to church and worship all they want but they have to keep their Christ for them self. tough.
visit either www.opendoorsusa.org or www.persecution.com and learn how you can be part of the solution. Prayer is one of the most powerful tool and you can be that prayer warrior for someone behind a cell. They count on your love and your kindness in prayer.
Love one another even when we do not know their names, rejoice because of the freedom we have to worship and the right to witness about our Lord and Savior. Lets use our freedom wisely and let us not forget those who are in prison because of the Gospel.
Pontifex estimates that there are 30 or more countries where Christians suffer “very severely,” and that “in certain of those countries, that persecution is very endemic and very persistent and has as its objective an end to the Christian presence.”
Pope Benedict’s annual speech to diplomats last week focused on religious freedom as a fundamental human right, and mentioned the attacks in Iraq and Egypt.
