Yeah, the weekend is here!
I pray that you had a fruitful week and that you are ready to take time to rest. This week I brought you messages about loving one another, I brought up, loving the enemy, loving your significant other, loving your family and today I like to close mentioning loving the men in our lives. When I see so many single mothers, when I hear about domestic violence statistics, rape victim rates, prostitution, human trafficking and all those missing women and men on the billboards I ask myself: why is there no one looking after them?
Why are men not protecting the women and children, instead they harm them. What percentage of men are spending time with their young boys? Are fathers protective of their young daughters? Are we, women, supporting the men around us or are we trying to boss them around like little kids? Are we as Christian community praying for our men in church or are we filling the leadership gaps of the church without addressing the men to step forward?
Last year I witness the ordination of a fellow student and friend of mine Pastor Jonas. I was in tears to see the elder pastors laying hands on him and praying for the beginning of his ministry as ordained Pastor. I was in tears to see so many men just surrendered to our Lord, God almighty. For the first time I saw the fellowship that was intent since the beginning for men and their Lord.
All men need love, all men need God, the few that get there were encouraged and mentored by a loving person. Together we can raise better men for tomorrow, men that will take a stand and protect their women, children and elders. It all starts by loving one another like Jesus loved us, he died on the cross for you and for me. We all are sinners but because of love we are forgiven, because Jesus rose from the grave we are victorious and death no longer has a hold on us. We can love because he first loved us: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
