Love one another

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Getting closer to God and being in constant communion with Lord should be our number 1 goal in life. The next first person is our significant other. Today this message goes out to all who have a loved one in their lives. Last night a friend of mine shared with me that he was deeply touched by the passing of his friend's wife; a young lady in her mid 30ties. He realized how fragile life is. In the middle of the night I woke up and his story came to my mind.I though of the tragic drama of Romeo and Juliette. Many times we make plans for the future, when we meet someone who shares the same passions in life as we do, when we find that soul mate..We make plans and we think we have years ahead of us. We plan to first have a job, find the special someone, we plan the wedding, we aim for the white picked fence house, we await the children and we chose the puppy.
But what happens when life does not gives us one more day to honor the love we have for one another? Would it feel better if you had one more day to express your love and appreciation to your loved one?
During the Tucson massacre I thought of this fragile thing called life.Gabriel Zimmerman(30) was engaged and Dorwin Stoddard(76) sheltered his wife from a bullet. They just went to the supermarket, they did not go to a dangerous street or on a deadly mission. They no longer have time to spend together or a chance to say how much they love each other.
My question calls for action: How will we express our feelings from now on? Will we wait for the right moment? for tomorrow? Are we waiting for the anniversary, birthday, father's day, mother's day to send flowers? Juliette loved Romeo and surely they planned to fight against all odds to defend their love, but tragedy struck and their was no future for their love. All that remains is a beautiful love story about "what if". Love one another..........
