December 24, 2012
This morning seems like any other morning; the sun goes up, the birds chirp, the bees fly around, coffee is set and ready, nice weather.. There is a Christmas tree and a nativity scene that reminds me that we are waiting the night of the 25th to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. In the beginning God created, mankind, but sin came into the world and Adam & Eve were banned from the Garden of Eden. Adam & Eve lived in shamed after being disobedient, all that was given to them now they had to work hard to live up to the standards by laws to a life righteous in the eyes of God. Laws that were impossible to attain or fulfill. Only a few men could come before the presence of God behind the veil. This was not the original plan for creating humankind. Then the God of Grace and Love and Mercy brought to the world His promise of Salvation in a manger in Bethlehem, to restore the fellowship among men and God through the mediator of mankind. The "good news for all people" came first to the shepherds who were in the field; they were the least of the society, yet they were the first to receive the blessing of seeing the incarnation of the Word of Life.
The Incarnation of the Word of Life1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched-this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.
What a blessing to be chosen by God to be His children and to enjoy of the most valuable relationship we could ever dream of; being in fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. This blessing has been passed through generations since 2012 years ago. this blessing is meant to be passed on to all people, to the next generation. We received the gift of Salvation already, now it us our turn to pass this Gift to the people around us.
